This project saw our project team replace an exhaust fan at a prominent underground mining operation in the Goldfields.

Whole of life preventative maintenance

This was the second of the two primary exhaust fans (or WATU fans) replaced by our specialist team as per the whole of life preventative maintenance plan. On both occasions, the fan and driveshaft were replaced by a refurbished assembly which required precise positioning and alignment to ensure reliable operation and longevity.

Our comprehensive inspection and test plans ensured each step was completed correctly, and utilising specialised laser equipment our experienced team installed fan impellor and driveline in accordance with the tight clearances and tolerances provided by the OEM.

After star-up and operational performance checks were conducted, a comprehensive Works Completion Report was provided to the client for sign-off and future reference.
